Covent Garden has always been a thriving, buzzing place, and even today, street performers entertain the shoppers around the famous market.
A few minutes walk down the Strand you’ll find Trafalgar Square with the famous fountains, and of course hundreds of pigeons!
They are understandably two very touristy areas, with the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, the Royal Opera House and some of the major theatres all in this locality. This is one area of London that visitors and locals come to time and again, and you should include on your itinerary if you can.
